YoucanusetheTerminalAccessControllerAccess‐ControlSystemPlus
(TACACS+)toauthenticateDSXusersinsteadoflocalauthentication.To
configureTACACS+:
1. ChooseSetup>RemoteAuthentication.TheRemoteAuthentication
screenappears.ItcontainsaTACACS+panel.
2. IntheTACACS+panel,clicktheTACACS+buttontoenable
TACACS+authentication.
3. UnderPrimaryTACACS+,typetheIPaddressoftheTACACS+
serverandtheportitislisteningon(defaultis49)intheIPAddress
andPortfields.
4. Typetherootpasswordtoaccessthedirectoryserve
r
/managerinthe
Secretfield.ThenameforthisfielddependsontheDirectoryServer.
Forexample,MicrosoftWindowsActiveDirectoryreferstothefield
asPassword,whiletheSUNiPlanetdirectoryserverusesSecret.
